The Many Faces of Solemnity….

Face The Music (you have to paint a face to show your interpretation of a song that was being played),

For a bunch of people with painted faces, they look pretty solemn. I just could not get them to smile on cue, because most of them were twitchy about the fact that the paints might get smudgy and spoil all chances of their college winning the event. Ah well, at least they agreed to pose for the local daily.

And hats off to all of the participants…they actually sat patiently through all morning waiting for the judges to arrive. Bless them. It is fun to get your face painted, you see, I’ve had it done to me twice in my lifetime….which resulted in angry pimples all over my face for the next couple of days, each time. I blame the paints.

But since patience is no virtue of mine, sitting like that for a couple of hours is completely fine…..sitting like that for an entire day…..uh….where’s the Exit?!
